Jan. 19 – Winter Weekend Course Conditions

In anticipation of the warm weather this weekend; here’s the current course conditions, according Mike Bugenhagen, Grounds Superintendent:

The course is playable, but very muddy.  Some holes are partially snow covered, but Mike expects the snow to be gone by the weekend. Temporary tees and greens are in play.  Tees and greens are frozen, and will remain closed for the foreseeable future.  Carts will not be available.  Mike Bugenhagen reminds us: the grass is dormant, any damage to the tees, fairways, and greens will not heal until the spring growing season, effecting course conditions when we open in April. So, I ask everyone to use caution if electing to play this weekend.

The Clubhouse and Pro-Shop will remain closed.  I’d like to remind everyone, guests are not welcome.

According to our Rules & Policies:
“During the off season, non-members are prohibited from using the golf course.  Any violation will result in a charge the equivalent of double greens fees per unauthorized person and will be charged to any member accompanying said non-member.  For purposes of this section, “off-season” shall be defined as any period the Pro Shop is closed and unavailable for the collection of greens fees.”

Thank you.

For the Board of Directors,
Mike Lauber
