This week the availability of the golf course is severely limited. Please pay close attention to the outlook for proper times when the first tee is open. Having said that, Dave and I are very excited to host the NYSGA Senior and Super Senior Amateur Championship this week. Brian Coyne and his crew have our golf course in impeccable shape, and the participants in the championship are in for a real test of golf. The Championship kicks off on Wednesday, Sept. 14 and continues into Thursday, Sept. 15. 132 players from all over New York State will compete on our golf course. There will be a morning wave and an afternoon wave of players both days. Spectators are welcome, however spectators will not be allowed a golf car. For more information on the Championship, please head over to the Championship Website:

Looking at our own club events, there are only a few left. The Ryder Cup, which is open to Men & Women, is open for sign ups, and Pro Day, a 4 person scramble, is also open for sign ups. The Fall Classic is full and on a waiting list. Lastly, for those still competing in the Presidents Cup and Match Play, please begin to conclude your finals and semi final matches.

A quick shoutout to a few members who took up the Sand Bottle Brigade mantel and came out on Sunday morning and afternoon to fill divots on the golf course: Frank Markiewicz, Ken Onetto, Rich & Judy Clark, Rick Mason, John Nason, Joe Bremer, Michael Carrig, Sr., Mike Timkey, Sean Cannan, Josh Heidinger, Mike Schoell, Boomer Cannan and Dave Braunscheidel. We appreciate you all volunteering your time!
