Good luck to all our members playing in the Alberico this weekend. The crew has pressed hard again these past two weeks and finished up with with bunker sand, and topsoil. Flowers arrived two days after Memorial Day and Cheryl and Morgan and Caleb have getting them in the ground. A big thank you to Cheryl Ambrose for her dedication to making our beds look so beautiful against the backdrop of our clubhouse and adding a touch of color to our wonderful golf course. To wrap up some old news, the new divot bucket and stands arrived today and have been placed on 19 tee and 8 ladies tee. I am still waiting on new flagsticks for the putting green. Apparently along with a baby formula shortage there is a nation wide shortage of putting green flags. Just kidding, next week our order of anniversary logo flags will be in so email me if you are interested. Flags are fifty dollars each, and Danielle will charge it to your account. Also your request has not fallen deaf ears I have discussed have benches for the golf course built locally.
Some of you may have witnessed the mobilization of heavy earth moving equipment this week onto the golf course. Or you may have spotted on the old tee to the right of 14 green. We’re not digging for gold but we are rebuilding the road going down to the Cattaraugus. This very important road dates back to the park but more importantly it’s our access to the lift station at creekside. This project was brought to the boards attention for 2022 budget and approved. The timing couldn’t have been more timely because 170 feet of the road had dropped/slid two feet over the winter. That’s about it from greenside. Again thank you to all our members for your hand in maintaining our golf course through ball mark or divot replacement or taking along an extra bottle of divot mix.
