Almost one month since my last post and I apologize.  Hopefully all have had a chance to see the amazing newsletter that Danielle has put together for us. Please  note that the 24th and 25th of August scheduled for greens aerification.  The front nine will be aerified Monday, back nine Tuesday and hopefully the rain stays away.  This week we had planned on starting fairway aerification but extreme heat back in the forecast will force us to hold off until temperatures moderate.  With the hottest July on record in the books and the amount of play witnessed year to date, we seem to be tracking a record amount of rounds played in a season here at Springville Country Club.  This makes it more important than ever to stick to our cultural plans to let the healing begin and get our golf course ready for winter.  As you may have noticed I removed the Easy Lift golf ball mechanisms from the flagsticks. They will be repaired and if there is enough enthusiasm for their return, we shall do so. A big thanks to Jerry Paritano and Phil Calasano for pizza and wings for the crew. Also a shout out to Hurricane Hazel and her parents Brittany and Kirk Schranz for the Paula’s Donuts. Thank you, and please stay safe.
