Please be advised greens will be placed back in play immediately after deep tining Wednesday and Thursday and will remain open and very playable until the end of the season. Should you have questions please drop me a note.
So far this fall we have not experienced much in the way of fall color. With two frosts setting in last week I should think this week we may see the color change. By now you have seen or heard about the new Springville Country Club signs being installed. Today the masons removed the forms for the caps and Wednesday we will have the columns and signs installed. From concept to fruition this has been long anticipated and we are very excited to see it completed.
With the weather changing quickly on us and snow in the air, I have moved up by one week the deep tining of greens. Wednesday afternoon I have a contractor starting this soil relieving process of all greens and we will finish on Thursday. This is accomplished by using a machine that creates a 1/2″ x 9″deep hole every 4″. This process is important to exchange gases and increase the rate in which water percolates through the soil profile. These holes will remain open to allow this process to continue through the winter months. We will have “Hole Closed” signs at each Tee. Thank you for your patience.
Just a friendly reminder that this Saturday is the closing golf and dinner social. You may sign up for golf and dinner $48pp++ or dinner only $30pp++ by calling the pro-shop. The dinner portion does count towards your minimum for October. For ordering and staffing purposes reservations are kindly requested by Thursday Oct 18th. On the menu for the evening is a member tab bar with Hors d’oeuvres from 5:30-6:30 and a dinner buffet with carving station at 6:30. Regular Ala Carte menu is not available for this event. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday! Thank you!
