It has been a busy week and much has been accomplished. The remaining flowers have been planted and we will add just a few more to the perennial beds off the grill room. Assistant Superintendent Nick Ciaccio has been busy training new hires on equipment and golf maintenance procedure. This week we also extended the step rough on hole four to include the bowl in front of the tee. This area, as well as the extension on hole thirteen, will be maintained at step rough height (one inch). If you played today you may have noticed larvae or grub looking worms on the fairway on eleven. These were sprayed with insecticide and watered in on Friday. You will see this again next week as we treat for cranefly and cut worm. Mulch has been ordered and the lads will be busy mulching all our beds around the clubhouse and on the golf course next week. Have a great weekend!
What a great job and it adds to the overall ambience and presentation of the club! Kudos to all involved.
